Are you passionate about cars and looking for a hands-on career in the automotive industry? Join Laye’s Tire Service, a family-owned business since 1958, where we value honesty, hard work, and team collaboration. We’re seeking a Tire & Oil Technician to help keep our customers safely on the road!

What You’ll Do:

🔧 Mount, dismount, rotate, balance, and perform all tasks related to tire care to ensure our customers’ vehicles are in top shape.
🛢️ Perform oil changes and routine fluid maintenance, including draining and replacing engine oil, replacing oil filters, and checking fluid levels according to manufacturer recommendations.
📋 Perform routine tire and vehicle maintenance services, including tire inspections, replacement, rotations, balancing, and basic maintenance checks.
🚗 Help with diagnosing tire-related issues and identifying basic vehicle maintenance needs while communicating concerns to the appropriate team member.
🔍 Inspect vehicles for tire wear, fluid leaks, and other maintenance concerns and accurately document findings.
🤝 Work closely with a team of skilled mechanics and service advisors to ensure quality work and customer satisfaction.
🛠 Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all shop safety procedures and proper handling and disposal of used oil and other automotive fluids.

Responsibilities 
  • Review work orders and discuss them with service advisors as needed
  • Notate any physical damage on the vehicle before beginning service
  • Complete Vehicle Inspections and accurately document findings
  • Perform tire replacement, rotation, balancing, repair, and other tire maintenance services
  • Perform oil changes, oil filter replacements, and basic fluid checks
  • Check and maintain proper tire pressure and inspect tires for wear, damage, and safety concerns
  • Check engine oil and other vehicle fluid levels as directed
  • Identify and report additional maintenance or repair needs to the service advisor
  • Follow manufacturer recommendations and established shop procedures
  • Properly handle, store, and dispose of used oil, filters, and automotive fluids
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and keep tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing training and development
  • Work efficiently as part of a team while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service

What We’re Looking For:

  • 🔧 Some experience in automotive repair OR a strong willingness to learn.
  • 🏆 A team player with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • 🚗 A valid driver’s license and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
